Selma Lena Bacha was born on November 9, 2000, in Lyon, France. Growing up in the Grange Blanche district, she was introduced to football at an early age by her brother, which sparked her passion for the sport. Bacha joined the Lyon academy at just eight years old, where she honed her skills and developed into a promising young talent.
Club Career
Bacha progressed through the youth ranks at Lyon, impressing coaches and ultimately signing a professional contract during the 2017–18 season. That year, she made a significant impact by starting in the UEFA Women's Champions League final, helping Lyon secure the title. Bacha continued to showcase her talent, featuring in the 2019 Champions League final as a substitute. As of the current 2025-2026 season, she has made 112 appearances for Lyon, contributing 5 assists, and in December 2024, she extended her contract with the club until 2029.
