Samantha van Diemen is a Dutch-born footballer, hailing from Leiden, Netherlands. She began her football journey with CTO, an educational team organized by the KNVB, before joining Ajax Talententeam, the youth squad of AFC Ajax, in 2018. Her early years in football laid a solid foundation for her development as a defender, allowing her to hone her skills and prepare for a professional career.
Club Career
Van Diemen made her professional debut for Ajax in the 2020-2021 season, where she played a total of 12 matches and scored once. After her time at Ajax, she transferred to Feyenoord, contributing in 23 appearances with one goal during the 2021-2022 season. Following her stint at Feyenoord, she joined Fortuna Sittard and made 37 appearances from 2022 to 2024, before moving to Glasgow City, where she netted three goals in 32 matches. In 2025, she signed with AS Roma in Serie A Femminile, where she has made 7 appearances in the ongoing 2025-2026 season.
International Career
Samantha van Diemen has represented the Netherlands at various youth levels, including the U15 team, where she made three appearances and scored once.
