Early Life & Background
Alayah Pilgrim is a talented Swiss forward born on April 29, 2003, in Muri, Switzerland. Growing up, she faced challenges in pursuing her passion for football, as she was initially not allowed to play. However, she secretly joined her local club, FC Muri, and played with boys until the age limit, as the club lacked a women's section. Her determination and skill caught the attention of a coach, who advocated for her family's support in her football journey.
Club Career
Pilgrim began her senior career at just 15 years old with FC Aarau in the Ligue Nationale B, where she made an impressive impact over three seasons, scoring 18 goals in 27 appearances. In 2020, she transferred to FC Basel, where she continued to develop her game, netting 13 goals in 34 matches. After two seasons, she moved to FC Zürich in October 2022, where she made her UEFA Women's Champions League debut and played a crucial role in securing the 2022–23 Swiss Women's Super League title, scoring in the final against Servette FC. In January 2024, Pilgrim signed with AS Roma, where she has since contributed to the team's attacking line.
International Career
Pilgrim has represented Switzerland at various youth levels, including the U16, U17, and U19 teams, showcasing her potential on the international stage.
