About Sylla
Early Life & Background
Kysha Sylla hails from Martigues, a town situated near Marseille, France, where she first discovered her passion for football at the age of 10. She began her football journey playing with boys at CA Croix Sainte, showcasing her talent as a defensive midfielder. Sylla later honed her skills at local clubs Martigues and Olympique de Marseille (women), before joining the prestigious Lyon academy in 2019.
Club Career
Sylla made her professional debut for Olympique Lyonnais on 8 October 2021, signing a three-year contract with the club. During her time at Lyon, she contributed to the team's success, helping them secure the national under-19 championship in 2022. In January 2023, she went on loan to Dijon FCO for the remainder of the season, where she made nine appearances and started seven matches. After returning to Lyon, Sylla made her first league start on 3 March 2024, in a 3–1 victory against Dijon. In February 2025, she joined Washington Spirit on loan while extending her Lyon contract to 2026, marking a significant step in her career.
International Career
On the international stage, Kysha Sylla represented France at the U-20 level, participating in the 2022 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup. She played a crucial role in the tournament, starting in the quarterfinal match, which showcased her potential on a global platform.
