Early Life & Background
Alice Dauphine Sombath is a French professional footballer born on October 16, 2003, in Charenton-le-Pont, France, to Thai parents. Growing up in a football-loving family, she was inspired by her older brother's passion for the sport. Sombath began her football journey at the age of eight, playing for her local club CSOM Arcueil, before joining the youth system of Paris FC at just ten years old.
Club Career
Sombath's club career took off when she joined Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in 2017, where she quickly established herself as a key player for the U19 team, helping them win the Championnat National Féminin U19 in 2019. In 2020, she made a significant move to Olympique Lyonnais, signing her first professional contract, alongside her PSG teammate Vicki Becho. Despite being on the match sheet for the French Cup final shortly after her arrival, she did not see playing time until the 2021-2022 season, where she made her Division 1 debut and started her first match. Since then, she has made a total of 68 appearances for Lyon, contributing to the team's success in the UEFA Women's Champions League and multiple French league titles.
International Career
Alice Sombath began her international career with the France U16 team, winning the Montaigu Tournament in 2019. She has since represented France at various youth levels, including the U17 and U19 teams, participating in qualifiers for the UEFA Euro U17 2020 and Euro U19 2022. Sombath continues to be a promising talent for the senior national team, contributing to their recent success in the UEFA Women's Nations League, where France secured a third-place finish in 2025.
